Did you know that a staggering 97% of Online Businesses fail in the first 12 months?
Yeah it’s not good news, it’s scary and daunting but it needs to be confronted.
This is probably a good time to ask if you have ever read a book called “Zag”?
800-CEO-READ listed it as one of the top 100 business books of all time. If you haven’t read it, you really should.
There are two strategies you can choose from in business. You can choose:
To do the same as everyone else and maybe try to do it a little better, a little cheaper or a little faster.
OR you can do something totally DIFFERENT and unique. Something distinctive that stands out from the crowd. Something which produces amazing results instead of small insignificant results.
A disruptive strategy requires the guts to zag when everyone else zigs.
When they go here, you go there!
When you choose to zag, there is much more value for you and the people you serve.
It doesn't take amazing foresight, wisdom or difficulty.
You just need to read the herd. When they are all doing anything and running in a certain direction, you just need to ask yourself:
What if I go in the opposite direction?
Yes, this takes courage and is not for everyone, think of the 97% that ran with the herd over a cliff like lemmings.
It takes courage to stop doing what the masses are doing and move in the opposite direction.
You will know in your heart this is the right call and you should lean into it, not avoid it.
It’s your way forward and your opportunity to lead and be noticed, be admired, be successful and stand out in a crowd of folks all running in the same direction (toward the cliff)
We have other successful businesses on other sites. All our competitors zig together and have over complicated product ranges which are designed to confuse and sometimes hoodwink customers into buying products which are not so great.
We zagged and made a simple, easy to understand product range which services our distinct client types and their needs.
We zag because we want to make a meaningful impact on the success of our clients.
Like Basecamp we choose to remain small.
We choose to remain small, we always have. We believe “small” is required to serving and mattering in a world of noise and distraction.
To have the courage to do something different and something that matters.
To create a meaningful impact in the world, even if that impact is small.
We are all good with small.
This is what really gets us excited and all hot n sweaty. Helping people who value quality and integrity over price. Tools and information are an integral, important need for growing any business.
In addition, we know our tribe needs training and we give them the very best we can.
Our tribes’ success is our success in both income and satisfaction with having been a part of the journey for many who are gutsy enough to ZAG and find the magic!
Our brand (Xsited) was born in 1998, although I first made my living from the internet in 1995!
If you care to read how I initially got into home business you can check it out here. (I was quite the drunken, broke idiot)
My small team and I love what we do passionately. We wake up each morning, excited about the ways we can help others achieve their dreams and goals.
We live for this stuff.
That’s why we have been in this business for so long, to us it’s awesome!
